We use HUMANTIUS RHETTRIC:
https://humantius.org/en/ethics/rhettric/
The facultative area supplements the HUMANTIUS CODEX:
https://humantius.org/en/ethics/codex/
It is optional.
It enables better communication and better coexistence.
It cannot be applied equally to all cultures and countries.
Whoever follows it enriches coexistence.
These are recommendations, not obligations.
They are suggestions for a better life.
FACULTATIVE
§ 1. All humans are equal.
Every human has the same value. Regardless of gender, origin, skin color, religion, disability, or other characteristics.
No one is worth more. No one is worth less.
Accept every human as equal. Treat everyone with the same respect.
Avoid persons who commit serious crimes.
§ 2. Self-protection
Whoever abuses children, rapes, or murders has crossed a boundary.
For such acts, “safety before trust” applies. Contacts with such persons should be reviewed, limited, and avoided.
For certain serious crimes, protection takes priority.
§ 3. Defend yourself.
Defense begins long before the emergency. Defense is not only physical.
Learn self-defense. Practice setting clear boundaries.
Whoever sets boundaries loses people.
§ 4. Help in emergencies
Whoever is in danger needs help. If you can help without endangering yourself, then do it.
Call emergency services in an emergency.
§ 5. Help others
Help others if you want to, without endangering yourself.
But you may say no. True help is voluntary. Whoever never says no gets exploited.
§ 6. Discrimination
Do not discriminate against anyone because of gender, origin, skin color, disability, or other characteristics.
Whoever has been proven to have committed serious crimes (murder, child abuse, rape) is dangerous. Such persons may be avoided.
Protection takes priority over equal treatment.
Inaction is not an option. You must not look away.
§ 7. Respect boundaries
Every human has boundaries. Respect them, no matter how illogical they appear.
If someone says “no,” accept it.
Maybe means “no.”
Silence means “no.”
Hesitation means “no.”
Only a clear “YES” means “yes.”
§ 8. Family
Love and care for your family.
But let them bear responsibility for their own actions.
Love does not mean being blind. True love helps one become better.
§ 9. Learn
Be curious. Learn throughout life.
But do not forget to pause and to live.
Learning is an investment in yourself and serves yourself.
It must not be misused or exploited by others.
§ 10. Body
Take care of your body. Exercise. Pay attention to hygiene. Keep yourself clean and healthy.
§ 11. No drugs
Protect and care for your body and your mind. Do not take drugs unless medically necessary.
Drugs destroy you. They make you dependent, weak, and unfree.
Your body belongs to you. Do not poison it.
§ 12. Do not smoke
Protect yourself and do not smoke.
Do not let yourself be intimidated or pressured by peer pressure. Smoking is not strength, it is weakness.
Do not slowly kill yourself.
§ 13. Alcohol
Drink in moderation. Alcohol is not a substitute for a fulfilling life. Alcohol must not determine your life.
Alcohol at celebrations is acceptable. Getting drunk occasionally is acceptable. But do not make it the only thing.
If drinking becomes your only hobby, then you have no purpose in life.
§ 14. Act rationally
Every action has consequences. Think about them before you act.
§ 15. No collective guilt
Do not condemn anyone for the acts of others.
Every human is judged and condemned only for their own acts.
§ 16. Do not lie
Do not lie. Do not deceive.
But if a system forces you to deceive, then it is permitted. The guilt lies with the system, not with you.
Truth is an ideal. But survival comes first.
§ 17. Promises
Keep your promises. Whoever breaks promises has lost trust.
However, if a promise has been broken, compensate for it at your own expense.
§ 18. Obligations
Honor your obligations.
Responsibility is more than promises, but do not let yourself be exploited.
§ 19. Do not insult
Every human deserves dignity.
Criticize the matter, not the person.
Insults do not show strength.
Insults appear thoughtless and uneducated. They never convince.
