X percent of women are afraid of the dark. However, men are not surveyed,

I find it interesting that there are always studies showing that X percent of women are afraid of the dark or of dark alleys.
But the percentage of men who are afraid of the dark is usually not mentioned.

As a man, I’m also afraid of being alone in the dark.

My point is more that there are always arguments where people say, β€œWomen are afraid of the dark, so something must be done."
It’s rarely said that people are afraid of the dark; instead, the focus is specifically on women.

Theoretically, you could ignore it, but when you read articles like this, you’ll subconsciously always imagine that women need to be protected, while men are ignored.
