When children have done something wrong, one must explain what was wrong and offer an alternative, what they should do instead
Children should not be hit or isolated as a punishment.
Punishments could be the following:

- Time-out: For a short time (about 5 minutes) in a quiet room to calm down
- Privilege withdrawal: One is not allowed to engage in certain activities for a while
- Natural consequences: If something was broken, one must repair it themselves
- Tasks: One must complete certain tasks to improve their skills or correct their mistakes
- Conversations: One must talk to them about their behavior and explain why they behaved wrongly and what they should do instead.
Punishments should be fair and appropriate.
