AI and samples

AI models (like LLMs, image, and video generators) learn on very large datasets. But sometimes, they output incredibly strange or bizarre results. When that happens, I always ask myself, What exact training dataset caused this specific output? Could I actually find that original sample on the internet? Also, does the AI's training data contain weird, obscure, or even unseen videos that no human has ever actually looked at? Or am I just overthinking this?

Is physical advantage really a fair excuse for unequal treatment?

In real-life altercations, it is rarely a fair fistfight. A knife, an object, or the element of surprise make physical strength completely irrelevant.

And who can actually measure how "strong" someone is in the heat of the moment?

Is physical strength really just an excuse to deny someone protection?

It seems to me that violence against women is often judged as "worse" than violence against men.

It seems to me that violence against women is often judged as worse than violence against men.

It feels to me that violence against women is discussed much more strongly in society than violence against men.
To me, it often seems as if violence against women is automatically considered more severe than violence against men.
But shouldn't both be evaluated equally?

I mean, in many countries there are extra women's parking spaces, women's taxis, or women-only train cars, etc.
But there is nothing comparable for men.
Isn't that actually also a form of discrimination or sexism?

Just imagine the following situations:
A) A man hits a woman
B) A woman hits a man
C) A man hits a man
D) A woman hits a woman

Which of these situations is judged by the public as "worse"?
Logically, all scenarios should actually be evaluated equally.
In reality, it is almost always A.

People often say that men are physically stronger.
But is that really a fair excuse for this unequal treatment?
Violence is rarely a fair fistfight. A knife, an object, or the element of surprise make physical strength completely irrelevant.
And who can even measure in doubt how "strong" someone really is?

Statistically, men are frequently victims of violence, but they are rarely viewed as needing protection.
This double standard makes male victims invisible.

It’s already strange that it’s often accepted when women use the men’s restroom.

The other way around, a man who enters the women’s restroom is immediately labelled as perverted or predatory. Why aren't women held to the same standard and labelled the same way?

What bothers me the most is the architecture.
Men’s restrooms have open urinals that don’t offer full privacy (not even from behind).
Allowing women into this space is a clear violation of men’s privacy.
The fact that the line for the women’s restroom is longer changes absolutely nothing about this fundamental issue.

Imagine the reverse scenario:
Suppose women’s restrooms had open urinals and they used like "Urinellas" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Female_urination_device ).
Would women accept men just walking in there?
Absolutely not.
It would immediately be viewed as a massive violation of privacy and rejected with outrage. Why doesn't this standard apply the other way around?

A "unisex restroom" that still contains open urinals does not solve this problem. In fact, it enables the violation of male privacy rather than fixing it.

The only fair architectural solution is fully enclosed, single-stall restrooms for everyone.

Don’t get me wrong:
If men’s restrooms consisted *exclusively* of fully enclosed stalls, I wouldn’t have a problem with it at all. In that case, everyone’s privacy would be preserved, and it would be functionally identical to a women’s restroom, just under a different name. In such a fair scenario, it would also be completely logical and consistent for men to be allowed to use the women’s restroom.
Unfortunately, that’s not reality. Most men’s restrooms have open urinals, and that is the crucial difference.

My appeal to all of you (including women):
If a woman enters a men’s restroom with urinals, address her politely but firmly.
We have to speak up. If we silently accept it, nothing will change. Only by communicating our boundaries clearly and respectfully can we see long-term change.

Important when speaking up:
do not touch anyone
do not block the exit (otherwise, you will immediately look like the aggressor).
do not yell

Stay calm
speak quietly

If she refuses to leave:
1. Do not argue
2. Get the staff/management (in clubs, restaurants, or offices, it is their job to handle this, even if security can sometimes be unhelpful).
3. If nothing happens: Ignore it or just use an enclosed stall yourself.

There are valid exceptions (e.g., if the women’s restroom is broken or locked), but long lines are not an excuse. If a woman needs to use the men's restroom, she can simply ask the person inside politely if it's okay to enter, and vice versa.

Account creation for Google and YouTube has become completely excessive.

You are forced to scan a QR code with a smartphone.
But what about people who don't even own one?

This scan links directly to Google services and checks in the background if a phone number is registered.
This is a massive and unnecessary intrusion.

The standard excuse that this is just to fend off spammers and bots doesn't hold water. Other services manage this with simple CAPTCHAs without interfering so deeply with your system.

Google doesn't give care about your privacy; otherwise, the company wouldn't interfere so massively with your hardware.

Why don't we create a separate network for children?

Instead of blocking the internet for everyone, why not create a separate, secure network specifically for kids that only allows access to vetted and approved videos and websites?

And how can we be sure that our identity data won't be sold to companies or misused by politicians?

I understand that the idea behind these slogans is to raise awareness about corruption, abuse of power, and injustice within the police and higher authorities. However, the problem is that these slogans do not criticize specific grievances, but rather indiscriminately condemn an entire profession.

If the goal was to focus on injustice within the police, shouldn't we say something else, for example:
- Save the Police
- Stop Corruption
- Stop Police Corruption
- Reform the Police

Because it is much more accurate, and any outsider will understand it at first glance.

If someone gets robbed,
a burglary occurs,
an accident happens or
someone is attacked,
who do you call first?
THE POLICE?
Turning an institution we must rely on in emergencies into a general enemy is dangerous.
Should we just do nothing in such situations and simply let things happen to us?

I personally think we should discuss and address the problems precisely, instead of labeling everyone as "incompetent" and throwing around insults.

I am not saying that the police are flawless or without problems, but these grievances should be exposed and addressed.

But aggressive slogans fuel extremism and build insurmountable fronts.
In the worst case, this leads to people completely avoiding contact with the police out of principle or fear, which can be life-threatening in real emergencies.

We should specifically address, expose, and solve concrete problems, instead of stigmatizing an entire profession with insults.
Real change arises through investigation and reforms.
